The Muse’s Help

I found Roderick in a panic at the tavern - his muse abandoned him and he’s desperate for inspiration. The dramatic fool described his writer’s block like a besieged castle. When I offered to help, he practically wept with gratitude. Now I need to find him a proper muse.

# Step Summary NPC Bring Completion
1 Talk with muse - {Npc} Talk with muse - {Npc} Aida Modic Npc   Aida seemed sweet but fragile. She offered either a touching story about elderly dancers in the rain or a tragic tale about her lost brother.
2 Talk with muse - {Npc} Talk with muse - {Npc} Lydia Bakal Npc   Lydia was all sharp grins and sharper wit. She boasted about inspiring other bards and spun a creepy tale about some Silent Cave.
3 Return to the {Npc} - with the choice of muse Return to the {Npc} - with the choice of muse Roderick Collier Npc   I presented Roderick with his potential muse. The fool immediately started rhyming her name terribly. With that talent, I suspect this won’t go as smoothly as he believes.
4 Wait a few hours Wait a few hours Roderick Collier Npc   Roderick should be done with his songwriting attempt with his wondrous muse. I should check in on them, this can go either way - terribly bad or surprisingly good. No chance for a middle ground.
5 Return to the bard {Npc} Return to the bard {Npc} Roderick Collier Npc   As predicted, the bard working with his new muse went terribly, and desperate, he begged for my help to finish the song. We crafted verses together, and Roderick transformed my suggestions into full stanzas with his flair for drama. The finished song could make him famous… or get him run out of town.
